A good choice for casual fare The Beach Bully .... features a mighty tender and tasty barbecued chicken by the quarter bird or half bird, making it a good choice for some casual yet hearty fare. Country-style in every way .... the Beach Bully is a no-frills kind of place. In warmer weather, it is not unusual to see the outdoor deck overflowing with diners sitting on the picnic tables, enjoying the beef sandwiches and basking in the friendly camaraderie of this small eatery run by locals, Rick Waskey and Chris Merrill. Inside the restaurant, pennants of favorite teams are scattered between framed photographs and posters. A counter set up so that patrons can "fill their own beverages." Bragging rights belong to The Beach Bully for the baked beans, chock full of smokey morsels of barbecued beef, enhancing the home-style flavor. Tasty kitchen-made coleslaw, combines finely shredded cabbage and carrots twisting in a creamy, tart dressing. If you like french fries, you should be impressed with the thick spears of hand-cut fries at The Beach Bully. Beef platters or sandwich platters with choice of two side orders are a good bet for the money. Tangy barbecue sauce adds a nice zest for the generously-portioned sandwiches. You will be hard-pressed to walk away from the Beach Bully hungry, nor should you be disappointed by the freshness and quality of the beef [or pork] bbq. The barbecued chicken.... Plump, juicy, seared and brushed to perfection, the poultry is a welcomed addition for non-beef eaters. |
